Dial an access number. Listen to our prompt. When prompted, enter the international phone number you want to connect to starting with the country code. When you have finished dialing, press the # key, and we will connect your call. That’s it.
Is It Really Free?
The international call is free, but you need to use your mobile cap minutes to connect to our access number. If you make a 30 minute call to India through CALLr, you will use up 30 of your mobile minutes.
When dialing your international destination, make sure that you do not hit the send button on your phone. That will disconnect you from our gateway and dial the international number over your normal mobile network.
Do I need to provide any personal information or enter any pin codes?
No. You do not need to create an account, provide us with any personal information, or credit card information. You also do not need to enter a PIN code. Just dial your international destination when our prompt instructs you to.
What mobile networks can I call you from?
If you are calling from Vodafone or 3, you should our FAQ to understand how you they treat calls to our service. These providers charge an additional fee for calling CALLr. These fees are still cheaper than international direct dialing to most locations and in many cases are included in your cap value.
Calls from the Optus network are charged at a premium rate equivalent to a direct dial international call by Optus. If you are using Optus, Virgin, or any other service using the Optus network, we recommend that you check with them regarding the extra charges they impose on calling our access numbers.
Calls from the Telstra network are currently not allowed. We hope to resume offering access to Telstra customers in the near future.
