Welcome to Callr – the home of free overseas phone calls from Australia, to over 72 destinations worldwide. You can start making free overseas calls, right now, by using your inclusive minutes on your mobile, even if international calls are normally barred!

How Does It Work?

Dial an access number (located in the upper right part of this page). Listen to our prompt. When prompted, enter the international phone number you want to connect to starting with the country code. When you have finished dialling, press the # key, and we will connect your call. That’s it.

No registration, no fees, no catch

You don’t need to register to use Callr, and there are no PINs or passwords to remember. Just make a note of our access numbers, There are no fees or charges to pay. So why not try it out right now?

Too good to be true?

It sounds almost too good to be true, doesn’t it? You’re probably thinking “Where’s the catch?” Well, there isn’t one! We’re able to offer you free international calls, simply by diverting your call via our own international gateway.

Callr even works when international call barring is activated on your phone; the phone thinks you’re dialing a normal Australian mobile number… which indeed you are!

Is It Really Free?

The international call is free, but you need to use your mobile cap minutes to connect to our access number. If you make a 30 minute call to India through Callr, you will use up 30 of your mobile minutes.

When dialling your international destination, make sure that you do not hit the send button on your phone. That will disconnect you from our gateway and dial the international number over your normal mobile network.

Do I need to provide any personal information or enter any pin codes?

No. You do not need to create an account, provide us with any personal information, or credit card information. You also do not need to enter a PIN code. Just dial your international destination when our prompt instructs you to.

What mobile networks can I call you from?

If you are calling from Vodafone or 3, you should our FAQ to understand how you they treat calls to our service. These providers charge an additional fee for calling Callr. These fees are still cheaper than international direct dialling to most locations and in many cases are included in your cap value.

Calls from the Optus network are charged at a premium rate equivalent to a direct dial international call by Optus. If you are using Optus, Virgin, or any other service using the Optus network, we recommend that you check with them regarding the extra charges they impose on calling our access numbers.

Calls from the Telstra network are currently not allowed. We hope to resume offering access to Telstra customers in the near future.

If you are using Optus, Virgin, or any other service using the Optus network, we recommend that you check with them regarding the extra charges they impose on calling our access numbers.

Calls from the Telstra network are currently not allowed. We hope to resume offering access to Telstra customers in the near future.

Convergence of Information and Communication technologies has made this world a global village. We, at CALLr.com.au, seek to utilise this integration further by providing free or low cost international long distance mobile telephone call service from Australia to about 70 countries across the world. We call this the new age of Free International Call Technology. Too good to believe, isn’t it?

Free overseas calls are made globally using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology through the computers for quite some time now but our service is more flexible since it allows the usage of mobile for the same. You no longer require a computer or an internet connection to make free international calls to India or any other country listed on this site. Whether you are at home, in office, or even in wash room or are on the move, the facility of free international calling is right there in your mobile all the time! Use it whenever and wherever you have to make free international phone calls.
To top it all, it is damn easy to use. Just dial one of our Free International Calls Access Numbers

0450 500 111 or 0450 500 222

from your mobile. When prompted by the speaker, simply dial 0011 or ‘+’ sign followed by the international country code and the telephone number. If you want to dial the mobile number in that country, check whether ‘+ Mobile’ is written against country name on the website or not. For example, to call for free to India, dial any of the free access numbers given on top of the site, then dial 0011 and the full ISD code of the country followed by the mobile number. DO NOT PRESS THE ‘ENTER’ OR ‘SEND’ button. Rather, please be patient and wait for some seconds while we connect you to the destination.
And, if you carry this thought that ‘free’ things do not deliver on the quality front, you will find our service to be exceptional! Crystal clear verbal communication without any voice lags or network hiccups is the hallmark of our round-the-clock service.

Let us take you to an educated tour of how we have made it possible to make free overseas call. Our call for free facility is based on the monthly cap plan minutes which your mobile service provider gives for calling other mobiles. This service gives free minutes per month on your mobile. Now, when you dial any of the free international access numbers, you are connected to a local number and we, being in the middle of this chain, connect with the destination using VoIP. So, if you are having the monthly cap minutes in your mobile, the call is not charged at all. However, if these cap minutes are not there, you will only be charged for the local call since you actually dial the local numbers in Australia. So, when you have to call for free to India using these access numbers, we will reroute your call through self-designed VoIP network to any destination in India.

Our free international calls facility is hassles-free as well. This does not entail any registration costs. We do not require even your credit card number or your pin code. But, we do ask you to make sure that you do not press the ‘enter’ or ‘send’ button after dialing the calls for free access numbers, the country code and the telephone number. Pressing ‘enter’ or ‘send’ will make it an all chargeable international mobile call for you since it will be routed directly from your mobile service provider and not through us. This will be quite a costly affair. Besides this, we ask you to do one more thing. Some mobile service providers have placed extra charges on using these numbers. We would request you to find about the same with your service provider since, in that scenario, there will be no free overseas calls.

Telstra customers can no longer use their mobile phones to make free international calls through Callr. An agreement between Telstra and our network service provider terminated on February 1st, 2011. Because of this, we are no longer able to provide our service to Telstra mobile phones and any other mobile phone companies using the Telstra network.

Callr is disappointed that we could not continue to offer our free international calling service to our Telstra customers. We hope that a new agreement can be negotiated in the future, but do not expect that to happen any time soon.

3 have decided to follow its corporate partner Vodafone and introduce additional fees for calling re-routed services like Callr. Since they are now the same company, we were not really surprised that they went ahead and did this. The fees that 3 are charging to call our access numbers are very similar to the ones that Vodafone is charging.

It is still substantially cheaper to make an international call through Callr as opposed to directly dialling internationally through your 3 mobile phone.

If you are on a contract or prepaid standard calling plan (for instance the $20 to $55 cap plans), you are now going to be charged $1.20 per minute plus a $0.35 flagfall for each call you make to Callr. This is included as part of your cap value for most plans. When I checked the 3 website, I could not find a contract or prepaid plan that excluded this from your cap value. Since a typical Australian mobile call on these plans costs $0.90 with a $0.35 flagfall, you can see how Callr is still a great deal even with these extra fees added.

If you are on an unlimited calling plan. you are now going to be charged $0.60 per minute plus a $0.35 flagfall. This will not be included in your cap value and you will have to pay these additional fees as a separate item on your monthly bill. Again, its not as good as the old days but it beats the pants off of international direct dial.

Callr has worked hard to provide our customers with good service, excellent call quality, and a low cost way of staying in touch with friends and family overseas. We will continue to do this. It is our hope that the mobile operators have worked out any imbalances in their plans, and stop making changes to the terms of their service.

If you are a 3 customer and Callr user, we recommend that you read 3’s website or contact them if you have any questions regarding how they are going to charge you. We have no control over their pricing for calling our access numbers, and their terms may be subject to change.

If you are a Vodafone customer that uses Callr to make free international calls, please read this. As of 7/27/2010, Vodafone is playing the following message to all of its customers who call our access numbers:

“The number you have dialed is a re-routed call service. Depending on your plan you may be charged higher rates for this call unless you hang up now. Visit vodafone.com.au for more information on re-routed calls.”

Nice and scary huh? What Vodafone does not say is which customers are affected and how they are affected.

If you are on the Unlimited Cap Plan, Vodafone is excluding Callr from your unlimited minutes and charging you a $0.35 flag fall and $0.60 per 30 seconds to call our access numbers outside of your cap. This is still a savings over their $2.40 per minute charge for international direct dialing, but a material change in their service.

If you are a Vodafone Standard Cap Plan customer (someone on a $19 to $79 a month cap plan), then the cost to call Callr is $1.20 per minute plus a $0.35 flag fall but these costs are included within your monthly cap value. This is a slight surcharge over a standard mobile rate to call which is a $0.35 flag fall and $0.90 cents per minute, but still a significant savings versus international direct dialing.

Standard Cap Plan customers should realize that because of the bizarre mathematics of Australian mobile plan pricing, you are most likely paying much less to call us through your included cap plan value than the fees listed above.

If you are an older Standard Cap Plan customer, you may not be charged this extra $0.30 per minute at all because the concept of extra fees for re-routed calls did not exist when you signed up for Vodafone. We believe this was introduced in August 2009, but are not positive.

For all of our Vodafone customers, if you have any doubts about what it will cost you to call Callr from your Vodafone plan, please contact them and ask. We have no control over what they choose to charge you, so you need to speak with Vodafone directly.

If you want this information from the horse’s mouth, please visit Vodafone’s rerouted call page. Being a large and confusing telco, that page won’t answer all of your questions clearly, but it is a starting point.

We are obviously disappointed that Vodafone has chosen to segregate some Australian mobile numbers and charge some of their customers extra for calling them. We are particularly disappointed that they have decided to do this to us, and will take action through the appropriate channels much like we have done with Optus. Sadly, the wheels of justice move slowly and a resolution to this may take months.

Ever needed to make an international call from mobile and just decided not to, after thinking about how much it was going to end up costing you? Well now you don’t have to worry about fees or charges for making calls to someplace overseas. With Callr, you can make free international calls from mobile to any number of places around the world. You can make free calls to India, the US, Canada, China, Japan and a whole slew of other destinations. With our service, you can dial international numbers and instantly be connected, with no delays or wait time. So what are you waiting for start making free international calls. Including free calls to India.

Here’s how it works. The system is really very simple and couldn’t be easier. To make a free international call, simply call one of our access numbers from your mobile phone. Then simply follow the instructions given. You will then dial 0011, followed by the country code and the actual number you want to call. That’s it! After your call has ended, if you want to make another call, simply hit #, then you can dial international numbers again, without having to repeat the initial call to our access line. See it so simple to make free international calls from mobile.

So what’s the catch? We are offering free international calls, so there must be a payment made somewhere, right? You do incur the local charge of your call, meaning you will be charged for the call from your mobile phone to our access number. However, the international portion of your call will, in fact, be free. So that means free international calls, like free calls to India or other locations. Even with a charge incurred by calling our access number, it will still prove to be much cheaper in the end than if you had just dialed the international number directly. Thus its so easy to make free international calls from mobile.

There are plenty of benefits to using our free international call service to dial international numbers. Not only do get to make free international calls, meaning you can call India free or the US free, but you also get to make the call hassle free. Other services require you to setup an account first or prepay before making the call, but not here. There is no account to setup to make free international calls; no payment that needs to be made in advance and no special phone is required. You don’t need to have access to a credit card and you won’t even get an extra bill from us in the mail, as the charge for the initial call to our access number will be on your regular mobile phone bill. See its easy just dial our access number and enjoy free international calls from mobile.

Have you ever tried to make an international call from your mobile and backed from doing so, only because of its high cost? Then you can put an end to such a thought or action now. Yes, Callr provides an ultimate solution to your problem. It helps us make international calls from our mobile phone at free of cost. It helps us communicate across several destinations like India, Canada, and the US, Japan, China and a lot many numbers of countries throughout the globe.
The whole process is very simple and straightforward. All you have to do is dial one of the many access numbers available in Callr website, from your mobile phone or handset. Following the instructions received from the other end, simply dial 0011, followed by the destination country code and mobile number of the recipient. You will get instant connectivity after which you can talk for hours together with the intended recipient. If you would like to make another call, just press # after the first call has ended. You need not start the process from scratch to make a second call. You can continue calling any number of persons, one call after another, by simply pressing # between two calls.

Anything given totally free will never have its worth realized. So we charge an amount for the call made by you from your mobile number to our access number. Thus, at the cost of a local call, you would be able to make an international call. This would be really very low when compared with that of the cost incurred in making a direct international call from your mobile phone.

The most noteworthy part of the services offered by Callr is the calls are not only cost free but also hassle free. Moreover, there is no formality like initial payment, registration, etc. A free international call can be made with an ordinary mobile phone, the cost for which will just be included in the regular mobile bill. Make hay while the sun shines. So, why wait? Take your mobile phone, dial the access number and start talking with your beloved ones, today. After all, we are here to cater our needs of communicating worldwide at a reduced cost.
